Position overview:
Faculty members are responsible for the effective delivery of Speakeasy’s curriculum and communication coaching for groups or individuals. The Speakeasy curriculum comprises both style and content. Delivery is both in-person and virtual. In-person delivery may be in a Speakeasy office or at any location selected by the client and agreed upon by Speakeasy. Faculty work directly with individuals across diverse industries and at every level in an organization. Speech-Language Pathology Faculty provide additional expertise specific to use of the voice.
Responsibilities:
- Delivers live small group communication development workshops, private/individual coaching sessions, and large group presentations/speeches (size varies) in one of Speakeasy’s offices, at a designated client location, or virtually.
- Assesses individual skills and develops advancement of skills through lecture, exercises, facilitated group discussions, and video feedback.
- Completes pre-program preparation including reviewing client information and expectations, ensuring classroom and A/V equipment are properly set up.
- Completes post-program documentation (internal documentation, client follow-up) and sales team collaboration/debrief.
- Manages individual virtual coaching cases, including initial scheduling, needs assessment, development plan creation, progress assessment, case documentation, and post-coaching recommendations.
- Manages logistics related to travel (e.g., flights, ground transportation, hotel, passport renewals, visa requests, etc.) necessary for providing on-site client work.
- Participates in staff and faculty business meetings, development activities, social functions, and retreats.
- At the request of the sales team, attends client meetings (by phone, virtually, or in-person on or off-site).
- Provides coaching to Speakeasy staff members for their ongoing communication development.
- Actively seeks new knowledge and information about developments within the fields of business, learning and development, personal and professional growth, and/or other areas that contribute to individual knowledge and growth and to the guidance and coaching of clients.
- Prepares and delivers large group presentations/speeches as assigned.
- Performs other related duties and projects as assigned, including curriculum development, marketing, and social media.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree required for Speech-Language Pathologist.
- For Speech-Language Pathologists, a valid Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA and a current state license is required.
- A minimum of five years’ professional experience in teaching, business, consulting, psychology, communication, coaching, and/or other related fields is required.

Ability to navigate general computer functions (creating, organizing, saving files and folders). Ability to navigate CRM (customer relationship management) and other business-related platforms.
- Technical capacity for or proficiency with various forms A/V equipment.
- Ability to navigate various video-conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Webex).
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
- Ability to speak, listen, stand, sit for extended periods of time, and maintain focused attention. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Desired: Knowledge of instructional design principles, bilingual, L&D experience, an understanding of emerging technologies.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES
Speech-Language Pathologists must be certified through ASHA and have a current state license.
