With a reputation for excellence and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, we are growing rapidly and seeking a Used Car Manager to lead and expand our pre-owned vehicle operations.

The Used Car Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pre-owned vehicle department, including inventory acquisition, pricing strategies, reconditioning, and sales performance. This role requires a highly experienced and driven individual with a deep understanding of the used car market, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume dealership.

• Inventory Management : Source, acquire, and manage used vehicle inventory through auctions, trade-ins, and wholesale channels to ensure an optimal mix of high-demand vehicles.
• Appraisals & Pricing : Utilize market data and pricing tools to accurately appraise trade-ins and set competitive pricing strategies to maximize profitability and sales volume.
• Sales & Performance Management : Drive the pre-owned sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets while maintaining strong gross profit margins.
• Reconditioning Process : Work with the service department to ensure timely and cost-effective reconditioning of used vehicles to maximize resale value.
• Marketing & Merchandising : Implement digital and in-store marketing strategies to attract buyers, optimize online vehicle listings, and enhance the dealership's online presence.
• Customer Satisfaction : Ensure a seamless customer experience by maintaining high-quality inventory, competitive pricing, and excellent service throughout the buying process.
• Team Leadership & Development : Recruit, train, and mentor the used car sales team to maintain high performance, professionalism, and strong customer engagement.
• Wholesale & Auction Management : Manage wholesale inventory and relationships with auction partners to optimize inventory turnover and profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience in used car sales management at a high-volume dealership.
• Industry Knowledge : Strong understanding of used car market trends, auction processes, pricing tools (e.g., vAuto, AutoTrader, KBB), and reconditioning best practices.
• Sales & Negotiation Skills : Proven ability to drive sales performance, negotiate deals, and maximize profitability.
• Leadership & Team Building : Track record of successfully managing and developing a high-performing sales team.
• Tech-Savvy : Proficiency in dealership CRM systems, online vehicle marketing, and digital retail tools.
• Customer-Focused : Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and dealership reputation.
• Valid Driver’s License : Required for vehicle testing and appraisal processes.
