American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level IV Neonatal ICU position requiring recent Epic and basic arrhythmia experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n
  • Work in a 26-bed Level IV Neonatal ICU within a specialized pediatric hospital setting
  • Patients include critically ill newborns and infants with complex medical and surgical needs
  • Care involves post-op infants, g-tube, trach/vent management, and advanced invasive/noninvasive ventilation
  • Shift options include 12-hour day or night shifts, with schedules covering Monday through Friday and 2-3 weekends per 6-week period
  • 4x12 hour and 26-week contracts are available
  • Float assignments may include shifts in multiple units or locations based on staffing needs
  • Documentation performed using Epic EMR, with recent Epic experience required
  • Basic telemetry monitoring is part of the role
  • Provide comprehensive care for critically ill neonates and their families from admission through discharge
  • NICU is recognized for patient- and family-centered care and advanced pediatric services
  • First to float to other units or locations if required by hospital staffing needs
  • Travelers must secure appropriate parking credentials if parking on-site; alternative transportation options are available
  • Assignments may be reallocated within the organization if the primary department’s needs change
  • Facility is Magnet®-designated and Level One Pediatric Trauma Center

  • Active WI or compact RN license required
  • American Heart Association BLS certification required
  • NRP certification required
  • At least 2 years total NICU III/IV experience with a minimum of 1 year in a Level IV NICU
  • Recent experience with Epic EMR within the last 12 months required
  • Basic arrhythmia interpretation skills required and must pass a telemetry test before starting
  • Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the primary work site location
