Transfer Pricing Manager

At SpaceX, we are leveraging our experience in building rockets and spacecraft to deploy Starlink, the world's most advanced broadband internet system. Starlink is the world's largest satellite constellation and is providing fast, reliable internet to 5M+ users worldwide. We design, build, test, and operate all parts of the system thousands of satellites, consumer receivers that allow users to connect within minutes of unboxing, and the software that brings it all together. We've only begun to scratch the surface of Starlink's potential global impact and are looking for a transfer pricing manager to join our tax team. The role will require providing transfer pricing support, including but not limited to compliance, audits, provision, and planning, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Manage global transfer pricing compliance and documentation
• Support the preparation and review of statutory financial statements, tax return filings, and external audits from a transfer pricing perspective
• Demonstrate and apply relevant technical knowledge of transfer pricing rules and regulations to intercompany transactions
• Work closely and partner with other stakeholders in the tax department, finance, legal, business operations, and external advisors on various transfer pricing related matters
• Contribute to operational aspects of transfer pricing, including planning, implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and process improvements
• Proactively identify transfer pricing issues and regulatory changes that impact the company operations and financial positions

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or STEM
• 6+ years of combined work experience in transfer pricing and tax with a Big 4 accounting firm or with a multinational company

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Solid understanding of the OECD transfer pricing guidelines and US specific rules and regulations
• Ample experience with managing global transfer pricing projects across multiple countries and regions
• Detail-oriented with solid organizational skills and analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, technical, and non-technical)
• Proficient in use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Self-starter with the ability to operate independently and manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines effectively

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to work long hours and weekends when needed to meet critical deadlines
• This position is based in Hawthorne, CA, and requires being onsite - remote/hybrid work will not be considered

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay range: Transfer Pricing Manager: $130,000.00 - $180,000.00/per year

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
