Associate Litigation Attorney – Child Advocacy

Location: West Chester, PA

Full-Time or Part-Time | 20-40 Hours/Week | Temporary Role

A highly respected litigation boutique in West Chester, PA is seeking an Associate Attorney with a passion for Child Advocacy to join their team. In this role, you won’t just practice law—you’ll make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families.

Whether you’re a former Public Defender or District Attorney, or a newly admitted attorney with courtroom readiness, this is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on litigation experience in a deeply meaningful practice area.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in court for dependency hearings, reviews, and other child welfare proceedings.
• Manage your own caseload from start to finish, including strategy, preparation, and courtroom advocacy.
• Prepare witnesses, develop case theory, and build your case using firm-developed litigation tools.
• Coordinate with caseworkers, court personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure strong, timely advocacy.
• Serve as a dedicated representative for children navigating the dependency system.

Qualifications:

• Active license to practice law in Pennsylvania.
• 1+ years of litigation or courtroom experience preferred (internships and clinics welcome).
• Background in family law, juvenile law, dependency, or Children & Youth Services (CYS) is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
• Comfortable with emotionally complex cases and committed to high standards of advocacy.
