Your day to day as a Structural Steel Project Manager

As a Structural Steel Project Manager, your day-to-day responsibilities will include overseeing all aspects of structural steel projects, from initial planning to final completion. You'll be working closely with our team of professionals, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are executed efficiently and to the highest standards.

You can anticipate a Monday through Friday schedule, with the flexibility to work weekends as needed to meet project deadlines. On any given day, you may be conducting site visits, coordinating with engineers and architects, managing project timelines and budgets, and ensuring all safety requirements are met. Your problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet will be put to the test as you navigate any unexpected challenges that may arise.

Your expertise in project management software, such as Tekla, Fabtrol, Microsoft Project, and Primavera, will be essential in effectively planning, organizing, and tracking project progress. As a successful Project Manager, you'll be responsible for creating comprehensive project plans that outline the scope, schedule, and necessary resources.

You'll monitor and track project expenses, ensuring costs are controlled and within the approved budget. Your attention to detail will be crucial as you develop and maintain project schedules, including key milestones and deadlines. Collaboration will be a key aspect of your role, as you'll coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and vendors. Your ability to review project drawings and specifications will be critical in maintaining project quality and adhering to corporate standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential, as you'll utilize tools like Word, Excel, to communicate and document project updates, progress, and reports.
