Job Description

Position Title: CNC Swiss Machine Operator

Salary: $52,000-$60,320/year

Shift: 2nd shift, 2nd shift weekends

Hours: 5:30pm-6am Friday-Sunday, Monday-Thursday 5:30pm-6am

QPS Employment Group is hiring a CNC Swiss Machine Operator for a company in Wheeling, IL. This is a direct hire opportunity.

CNC Swiss Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Production and operation of multiple CNC machines in team-based environment
- General/daily maintenance on machines to keep up with production
- Ensure quality of parts through regular inspection during production
- Follow all safety guidelines as stated by the company
- Read and understand blueprints and basic geometric dimension tolerancing (will train)
- Inspect parts through use of visual and manual inspection equipment (caliper, micrometer etc.), as well as programmed CMM equipment (will train)
- Make offsets and change tooling per provided layout (will train)
- Communicate with fellow team members, and management, of job status and party quality

CNC Swiss Machine Operator Requirements:
- Cooperative, team-focused attitude
- Must have excellent hand-eye coordination and good manual dexterity in both hands
- Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly
- Ability to stand/walk throughout the day for the entire shift
- Ability to read English and follow standard operating procedure instructions
- Communicate / train others when needed
- Ability to inspect parts through use of visual and manual inspection equipment (caliper, micrometer etc.) as well as programmed CMM equipment (will train)
- Complete Operation Basics Training
