Position Summary: The Store Consultant consistently delivers a positive customer experience and uses consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions across all areas of the store including print, signs & graphics, and shipping. The role includes taking orders, coordinating store activities, providing pricing and product information, recommending FedEx Office products and services, operating equipment, managing the production queue, handling complex projects, managing retail supply, and completing tasks by priority.

Responsibilities


  • Follow instructions of supervisors and assist other team members in performing store functions.
  • Assist in training of store team members.
  • Demonstrate consultative behaviors to understand each customers individualized need.
  • Provide expertise in printing, signs, graphics, and shipping product lines and recommend appropriate FedEx Office products and services.
  • Provide an outstanding customer service experience, anticipate needs, suggest alternatives, and find solutions.
  • Resolve customer problems quickly and satisfactorily.
  • Takes complex customer orders using order systems and provides accurate pricing.
  • Assemble parcels and prepare goods for shipping by wrapping items, inserting into containers, weighing packages, and affixing labels.
  • Set up and operate printing, binding, and other related equipment.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly retail store.
  • Ensure confidentiality of customer data.
  • Process financial transactions using POS, including handling cash and making change.
  • Clean, repair, and stock retail store printing and shipping equipment and supplies.
  • Stay current on merchandising materials and ensure proper display.
  • Take preemptive action to prevent errors and waste.
  • Complete required financial paperwork and assist with financial reporting.
  • Follow FedEx Office standard operating procedures and adhere to legal, HR, safety, security, and customer service policies.
  • Perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Seek opportunities to improve knowledge and skills.
  • Operate with minimal supervision.
  • Adhere to all FedEx Office standards and handbooks.
  • Perform any additional duties as needed.


Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • 6+ months of specialized experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Meet all FedEx Office employment qualifications in force at the time of hiring.
  • Current FedEx Office team members must meet hiring criteria for the position and transfer requirements as outlined in the Team Member Handbook.


Essential Functions
  • Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods.
  • Ability to move and lift up to 55 pounds.
  • Ability to bend/twist at waist and knees consistently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members.
  • Ability to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction.
  • Ability to function in a fast?paced environment under substantial pressure.
  • Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours to support the FedEx Office business.

Pay Transparency

Pay: $22.10 - $25.97 per hour. The range represents the minimum and maximum for this job level. Additional compensation, bonuses, and benefits may apply. The company offers eligible employees health, vision, dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
