Job Description

LifeStance Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide ongoing care for our patients. You will be caring for individuals in our clinic setting as they navigate the mental health experience. Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations and management of clinical therapies and infusions under the direction of the Physician; creating a positive, relaxing, and professional work environment; greeting and rooming patients, obtaining weight and vitals, reviewing medical information and current medications, starting and administering Spravato therapies and medications as ordered; reviewing screeners related to patient appointments and alerting physician if abnormal or high scores are reported; providing clear patient instructions and education regarding therapy and infusion protocols; ensuring all documentation and consents are signed before starting infusion therapy; ensuring adequate medication dosages and confirming accurate dose before administration; preparing infusion therapy bags and ensuring correct patient and dose before mixing; obtaining correct patient identification at bedside before starting infusion; monitoring and assessing patients throughout their stay and treatment; assessing physical and mental status before discharge and alerting physician if needed; maintaining clinical logs for compliance and accuracy; preparing clinic for next shift; reviewing intakes and collaborating with physician regarding new patients; maintaining and securely storing patient charts; establishing professional relationships with patients; timely submission of charting and documentation; maintaining orderly storage of supplies including vial expiration and inventory; complying with DEA regulations of controlled substances; maintaining a safe and clean working environment; ensuring patient education folders and handouts are available; occasionally assisting with daily nursing tasks such as rooming patients, charting, med refills, PA’s, responding to telephone encounters, referrals, etc. Skills & Experience required include an Associate degree in nursing (Bachelor’s preferred), 1+ year clinical experience, current/active state license, current BLS certification, proficiency with Microsoft Office, experience with EMR/EHR, preferred experience with Spravato treatment guidelines, ability to multi-task, knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, documentation standards, basic laboratory procedures, mental health disorders and management, infectious disease management and safety standards, legal authorization to work in the US, and cultural sensitivity and inclusivity. Physical requirements include ability to sit, stand, bend, talk, hear, walk frequently, lift/move up to 25 pounds, and specific vision abilities.
