Position Overview:
We are seeking a  Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)to join our practice as a 1099 independent contractor. This fully remote role offers flexible scheduling ( at minimum 20 hours per week ) and the opportunity to work within a collaborative, client-focused model.  Must have active North Carolina PMHNP-BC license and DEA licensure in North Carolina.

At  The Circle , we believe in truly integrated care so you will not only prescribe and manage mental health medications, but also provide therapy during appointments. This approach strengthens continuity, deepens trust, and ensures clients feel heard and supported in every session. You will also have the  option, if desired, to facilitate virtual group therapy sessions on topics designed to help clients navigate life’s ups and downs like creating boundaries that actually stick, finding joy in everyday moments, quieting your inner critic, turning heartbreak into healing, and discovering stress-busting strategies you’ll actually want to use.

Let’s face it... people are lonely or feel alone far too often these days. Many don’t have a sense of community or a place where they truly fit in. These groups give clients that safe space to connect, share openly, and be reminded they are not walking through life alone. All groups are capped at 10 participants to ensure a warm and supportive environment.

We also believe providers must be compassionate, caring, and deeply committed to understanding the people they serve. Mental health care matters but so does having the right provider who can make clients feel safe, understood, and empowered. That’s why we prioritize your mental health, too, by fostering a low-pressure, burnout-preventive work culture. We host  inspiring, energizing in-person gatherings to connect and recharge, along with fun virtual  Circle parties so you feel part of a supportive, vibrant community, no matter where you are.

We Provide:

• Collaborating Physician
• All credentialing with our insurance providers at no cost to you
• Paid EHR and e-scribe system access

Responsibilities:

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up care for adults 18+
• Incorporate therapeutic interventions during appointments alongside medication management
• Option, if wanted, to facilitate virtual group therapy sessions on engaging life topics (max 10 participants per group)
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
• Collaborate with clients in developing and following individualized treatment plans
• Participate in virtual team communication and case discussions as needed

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted PMHNP-BC certification
• Current state license ( MUST HAVE ACTIVE North Carolina PMHNP-BC LICENSE and NORTH CAROLINA DEA license ; additional states a plus)
• Experience providing care to adults with a range of mental health needs
• Comfortable working in a fully virtual telehealth setting
• Strong communication, empathy, and organizational skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Compassionate and caring, with the understanding that the right provider can make all the difference in a client’s mental health journey

Schedule & Compensation:

• Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
• Hours: At minimum 20 hours/week, flexible scheduling
• Location: Fully remote (telehealth)
• Competitive hourly rate based on experience
