Job Title: Project Coordinator – IT Operational Projects

Location: Austin Texas

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Lead to conduct IT project coordination activities including project management, planning, monitoring, and status reporting. The ideal candidate will lead small operational projects involving cross-functional teams and will work closely with team managers to request resources and ensure alignment with project goals. Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage IT operational projects from initiation to closure.
• Develop and manage project deliverables including:
• Scope documents
• Project plans and schedules
• Communication and training plans
• Cost estimates and change approval documents
• Contingency and post-implementation support plans
• Identify and manage project milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues.
• Coordinate resource assignments and facilitate collaboration across IT teams.
• Conduct regular project status meetings and provide timely reports to stakeholders.
• Maintain detailed project documentation and ensure successful transition and handoff.
• Foster strong working relationships with cross-functional IT teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 4-7 Leading and managing IT operational projects with full lifecycle responsibility including documentation and project handover.
• 4-7 Developing/managing project deliverables such as scope, schedule, communication, change management, and support plans.
• 4-7 Communicating expectations and progress to sponsors and stakeholders via meetings and status reports.
• 4-7 Managing milestones, dependencies, critical paths, and risk/issue tracking with contingency plans.
• 4-7 Requesting and coordinating project resources, cross-team collaboration, and task assignments.
• 4-7 Technical writing experience creating formal business documentation in a regulated industry.
• 4-7 Proficiency in MS Project for tracking tasks, deliverables, and milestones.
• 4-7 Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Visio, and WebEx.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP Certification (Project Management Professional from PMI).
• Experience with ServiceNow.
• Experience working in an Electric Utility or municipal organization.
