Our client is seeking an experienced Production Scheduler to join their dynamic manufacturing team. The role is responsible for developing and maintaining daily and weekly production schedules to meet aggressive lead times, accommodate demanding customer requirements, and optimize production efficiency. The environment is fast-paced, high-output, and involves a wide range of products with frequent changeovers and tight delivery windows.

What you'll do:

• Develop, publish, and adjust production schedules to align with customer demand, raw material availability, labor constraints, and equipment capacity.
• Monitor and adjust plans based on real-time production feedback, delays, inventory levels, and unplanned downtime.
• Collaborate closely with production, quality, maintenance, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure on-time delivery.
• Proactively identify and address scheduling conflicts, bottlenecks, and supply constraints.
• Maintain visibility into production performance and revise schedules as needed to meet service-level expectations.
• Manage short-term and long-term capacity planning, ensuring production targets align with customer forecasts and business goals.
• Track KPIs including schedule adherence, OEE, and on-time delivery metrics.
• Ensure accurate communication and coordination of production changes to all stakeholders.
• Maintain master data and scheduling parameters in ERP systems (e.g., batch sizes, lead times, routings).
• Lead daily production meetings and communicate schedule priorities to supervisors and operators.
• Support new product introductions, special orders, and seasonal demand shifts with strategic scheduling solutions.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience as a Production Scheduler or Planner in a food, chemical, pharmaceutical, or related process manufacturing environment .
• Strong knowledge of scheduling and planning best practices in high-mix, high-volume operations.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and pivot quickly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement practices is a plus.

Preferred Experience:

• Background in food or chemical manufacturing with experience navigating regulatory compliance (e.g., FDA, GMP, HACCP).
• Familiarity with batch processing, clean-in-place (CIP), and high-SKU environments.
