Position Purpose & Summary

Performs the functions of a pool attendant and maintains the daily Recreation Center, Three Graces and Infinity Pools operations consistent with the goals and directives of the Recreation Manager. They will assist with the organization and execution of all pool set-up, upkeep, tear-down, assisting with members, cleanliness of the pool, pool deck, locker rooms, and Teen Room [Recreation Center], ensuring our pool patron's safety and wellbeing at all times, and assistance of pool events.

Essential Functions:

• Able to ensure the safety of all pool patrons, weather in or out of the pool, of all ages.
• Available to work various hours and shifts as dictated by the needs of the operation.
• Assists with maintaining the Recreation Center, Three Graces Pools and Infinity Pool, locker rooms, and Teen Room [Recreation Center] in a clean, neat, and orderly fashion, including opening/closing, answering the phone, and checking members/guests both in and out, according to established procedures.
• Keeps both Recreation Center and Three Graces Pools and storage areas neat and in safe working order.
• Setting up pools with pool chair covers and rolled towels. Replacing pool chair covers and towels once each member and guest officially leaves.
• Escorting members and guests to available seating.
• Ability to move umbrellas, chairs, and tables for member and guest convenience.
• To ensure neat and safe working areas the Recreation Center must be cleaned daily, duties include but are not limited to vacuuming the pool, sweeping the pool deck, throwing away trash.
• To ensure neat and safe working areas the Three Graces must be cleaned daily, duties include but are not limited to sweeping the pool deck, throwing away trash, picking up pool toys.
• To ensure neat and safe working areas the Infinity Pool must be cleaned daily, duties include but are not limited to sweeping the pool deck, throwing away trash.
• Assists in promoting and selling merchandise available at the pools check-in counter.
• Consistently embodies a "play well with others" demeanor; maintains a positive "can-do" attitude at all times and constantly demonstrates a pro-active, team-centered approach.
• Assists in establishing and maintaining a "Standard of Excellence" for the Resort and Club's Recreation Center and Three Graces Pools and Teen Room programs/facilities.
• Deliver "I Am Proud" service standards and department-specific signature touch points.
• Establish cross-departmental channels of communication among teammates that are consistent and complete.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

• Welcome all guests to facility with your hand over heart and check all guests in.
• Assist guests to seats, help guests with umbrellas and always anticipate the guests needs.
• Setting up pools with pool chair covers and rolled towels. Replacing pool chair covers and towels once each member and guest officially leaves.
• Helping with events held at the pools.
• Being available during Holidays. (! Fourth of July)
• Greet every guest, member, and team member with "I Am Proud" standards and set a positive tone for every interaction.

Marginal Functions:

• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Interface positively with other departments, offering assistance when needed.
• Displays care in use of equipment and maintains an organized and professional work environment.

Position Requirements:

1. Minimum Knowledge & Skills: Requires the ability to interpret / extract information and / or perform arithmetic functions. May require typing, record keeping, or word processing. Has the need for good communication skills and patience.
2. Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: High Schools enrollment, High School Diploma or GED.
3. License, Registration, and/or Certification Required: Must have or be able to obtain CPR & First Aid Certificates, Lifeguard and/or Water Safety preferred
