Job Summary and Qualifications

Transporter position involves safely and efficiently transporting patients within a hospital setting, often to and from various departments. Transporters assist with transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers, and may also help with other clinical support duties. They are responsible for maintaining transportation equipment, providing a positive patient experience, and ensuring patient safety and confidentiality

Qualifications: 

• High School diploma/GED preferred

• Previous transport experience or customer service experience is preferred

 

Skills:

1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential

1. Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment, often requiring lifting 50 lbs or more. 

 

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
