ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Air live and pre-recorded shows
Complete traffic logs and fix logging discrepancies
Air emergency alert system tests as indicated
Engineer remote broadcasts and follow station procedures
Regulate timing of programs, operate syndicated programming, and play commercials and promotions as scheduled
Provide off-air support of commercial production, dubbing music to hard disk and programming automation computers
Monitor and update weather, traffic, and news reports into automation equipment
Perform on-air announcements or shifts as assigned
Assist with remote appearances
Take transmitter readings and maintain transmitter logs
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and effectively manage time
Self-starter, with the ability to take and follow direction
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with the station’s clients and listeners
Can work well independently and as an integral part of the team
Ability to stand for long periods of time, and lift/move up to 50 lbs
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Six months of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
