Job Description

Raymond James Bank is hiring an entry level Mortgage Processor to process residential and/or retail loans and prepare closing documents in accordance with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac underwriting guidelines. The ideal contributor will follow detailed, established procedures to perform a variety of tasks requiring some evaluation, originality or ingenuity in making decisions. They resolve common questions and problems and refer more complex issues to a higher level. Regular contact with internal and external customers is required to obtain, clarify, or provide facts and information and/or identify, research, and resolve problems. A working knowledge or understanding of retail banking disclosures and regulations, preferably TRID and Reg. Z, is expected. Essential duties include obtaining required documentation and processing more complex loan applications, ordering credit verifications and third party services, tracking receipt of and reviewing post-closing legal documents, following up on missing documentation, verifying loan applications and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness, preparing and compiling documents for loan closing, preparing or reviewing for accuracy TRID Disclosures, Regulation Z disclosures, and other disclosures required by consumer regulation, scheduling and coordinating loan closings, clearing for disbursement of loan proceeds, preparing compliance and accounting records and reports as required by management and regulatory agencies, performing routine loan calculations, assisting customers with moderately complex inquiries or problems, performing pre-closing, post-closing, or whole loan due diligence review of legal agreements and other closing documents to terms of loan commitment, maintaining currency in loan processing policies and procedures, and performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Knowledge required includes basic concepts, practices and procedures of commercial and retail loan processing, basic principles of banking and finance, and financial markets and products. Skills include processing less complex loan applications, verifying information for accuracy and completeness, preparing loan closing packages, preparing records and reports, performing basic calculations, and operating standard office equipment and using required software applications. The ability to read, interpret, analyze and apply information from loan application documents, interpret and apply policies, organize, manage and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment, communicate effectively both orally and in writing, work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment, handle stressful situations and provide a high level of customer service in a calm and professional manner, establish and maintain effective working relationships, and maintain currency in loan processing policies and procedures is required. No licenses or certifications are required. Education required includes Bachelor's degrees in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance. General experience required is 7 to 12 months.
