Provides clinical support to health care professionals to ensure the delivery of quality health care services. In urgent care, the environment is fast paced with a variety of patients. Responsibilities include facilitating efficient and effective patient flow, preparing patients for visits/admissions, providing specific services and education as determined by providers, performing necessary administrative duties including maintenance and monitoring of electronic health records, maintaining and cleaning environment and equipment, greeting and communicating with patients and significant others with care and respect, collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure continuity and quality of care, collecting and monitoring patient data, documenting care and patient chargeable items/services, ensuring processes and services are monitored for quality, cost effectiveness and efficiency, engaging in process and quality improvement activities, and continuous professional development including required training and education. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, successful completion of a competency-based orientation program, preferred 1 year relevant experience in a healthcare setting, and required certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 120 days.
