Job Description Job Title: Mechanical Designer/Drafter Location: Chandler, AZ Zip Code: 85226 Start Date: ASAP Job Type: Contract Pay Rate: $30.00 - $38.00/hr DoE Schedule: 4/10 M-Th 7am-5:30pm Keywords: #SolidWorks #MechanicalDrafter #AerospaceDefense We are looking for a talented Mechanical Designer / Drafter with expertise in ANSI Y14.5-2018 standards to develop detailed technical drawings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SolidWorks CAD software, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering accurate and innovative drawings that meet Aerospace/Defense and company standards. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Create detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings and models using SolidWorks CAD software. Apply ANSI Y14.5-2018 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards to ensure precision and manufacturability. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to resolve design issues. Prepare technical documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs) and manufacturing drawings. Generate and release program work authorization documentation defining the scope of work, schedule requirements, program budget, contractual requirements, and data items. Perform design reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards. Support prototyping of mechanical components. Maintain accurate records of revisions. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: US Citizen 1-3+ years of experience in mechanical design and drafting. Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software. Strong knowledge of ANSI Y14.5-2018 GD&T standards. Experience with creating detailed technical drawings and 3D models for manufacturing. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: ​Certification in GD&T (ASME Y14.5) or related credentials. Experience in aerospace, automotive, or industrial product design.
