POSITION SUMMARY The Matchday & Events Assistant plays a key role in bringing Sounders FC, Reign FC, and Defiance matches-and their related events-to life. This dynamic position supports matchday operations, fan engagement, and game presentation across all three clubs, as well as various community events throughout the Greater Seattle area. We're looking for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional fan experiences, thrive in fast-paced environments, and are eager to step in wherever needed. This role focuses on in-stadium programs and initiatives that align with club values and partner objectives. As brand ambassadors, Matchday & Events Assistants help create unforgettable moments, ensuring every fan interaction reflects our commitment to excellence, teamwork, and community. Availability Requirement: We are seeking candidates who are available to support through the end of the year-not just during the summer months. Match schedules: Sounders FC Schedule | Reign FC Schedule | Defiance Schedule ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Matchday Support: Provide operational support for Sounders FC, Reign FC, and Defiance matchdays, ensuring smooth execution of club and partner initiatives while delivering exceptional fan experiences. Assist in the execution of matchday programming and logistics, including but not limited to: Coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to properly stage and set up fan activations and programming. Engaging with fans at activations by providing clear instructions, encouraging participation, and fostering memorable interactions. Supporting teams, media, and other working staff throughout the matchday experience. Serving as a liaison/escort for VIPs, the team mascot, or musical performers. Acting as a club ambassador by proactively assisting fans and enhancing their stadium experience. Event Support (Non-Matchday): Assist with various club events outside of matchdays across different departments, such as Marketing, RAVE Foundation, Fan Development, Corporate Partnerships and People & Culture. Responsibilities may include: Event setup and takedown to ensure a seamless experience. Supporting fan activations and interactive activities during events. Welcoming and engaging fans, creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere. Being a knowledgeable resource, ready to represent the clubs and answer fan questions. Other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the event. QUALIFICATIONS Must be 18 years or older. Preferred: At least one year of experience in customer service, event operations, or a related field. Background Check: Must be able to pass a standard criminal background check. Flexible Availability: Evenings, weekends, and holidays are required based on match and event schedules. Positive & Professional Attitude: Enthusiastic, team-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional experiences. Strong Communication Skills: Ability to convey information clearly and effectively to fans, colleagues, and stakeholders. Collaborative Mindset: Works well in a team environment and engages effectively with diverse groups. Problem-Solving Ability: Quick thinking and sound decision-making in high-pressure situations. Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency, especially in Spanish or Portuguese, is a plus. Must be able to occasionally lift 20+ pounds and be comfortable standing on feet for multiple hours at a time.
