Deejays BBQ Ribs and Grille, founded in 1980 in Weirton, WV, was sold to Mt. Nebo Foods in 2021. In the short time since it has expanded to 4 locations in the Tri-State market, and our fifth location will open in September 2023 with more to come!
Job Description
The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for developing, implementing, and tracking marketing programs that increase brand exposure and build restaurant and catering sales in the Tri-State Area
The Marketing Coordinator position requires a thorough understanding of business and marketing strategy and that person will become the Brand Ambassador for Deejays BBQ Ribs and Grille. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills with restaurant staff, vendors, food writers and bloggers, newspapers, local businesses, and the community. It also requires the ability to project manage, multi-task and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
Job Duties
Understand and communicate marketing strategy and objectives to the operating partners, restaurant management, and staff
Partner with Restaurant & Catering Managers to plan and execute sales-building activities that will build relationships, which will increase customer count, check average and outside sales
Deploy web, social media, email, collateral, merchandise, Mobile App, loyalty program, and other communications effectively with the corporate support team
Coordinate partner, community, vendor relationships, and charitable donations
Establish goodwill and build relationships within the community
Identify and capitalize on strategic partners that complement the restaurant brand
Plan and execute marketing events in coordination with restaurants
Collect and analyze data to improve marketing programs
Assists and/ or completes additional tasks as assigned
Must clearly be able to demonstrate growth in sales because of marketing efforts
Manage online reputation by responding to reviews left on all social platforms
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or similar discipline preferred.
1-3 years of professional experience in Marketing, Public Relations, Sales,or Advertising with a demonstrated track record of driving results
Industry experience in managing and marketing fast-casual restaurant concepts and openings is a big plus
Must possess an entrepreneurial spirit and be creative and innovative with marketing approaches. Prior experience working in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment, is preferred
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
Valid Driver’s License required
Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards
Proficient in Windows Office, Microsoft Office, Mac OSX, PowerPoint
Knowledge of online technology and implementation with a particular interest in blogs, social networks, virtual worlds, wikis, mobile, and other emerging trends- including but not limited to Facebook and Twitter, Instagram, WordPress etc.
Superior knowledge of Social Media landscape, networks, toolsets
Management of a professional blog for an organization and/or business
Self-starter with a positive "can do" attitude.
Additional Skills
Ability to assess business goals, market requirements, customers, challenges, and opportunities within the area and input that knowledge into the creation of programs, etc.
Must be innovative, organized, efficient, and able to prioritize multiple projects while working with a team
Effective communication skills to present to all levels of an organization in a professional manner.

Must have a flexible schedule with being open to working weekends, holidays, and at specific restaurant locations.
