Job Description

As the Manufacturing Coordinator, you will support cross-functional departments to achieve successful & efficient operations. This role is fundamental in supporting logistics, inventory, safety, and employee engagement. You Will:

• Support various operational disciplines in a 25-30 person manufacturing plant; including safety, logistics, spare parts inventory, and employee engagement.
• Lead the Safety Committee and champion a safety first culture.
• Administer the site safety program, including documentation, training, and audits.
• Coordinate with Plastipak’s customers to evaluate and set production schedules; ensure all necessary raw materials and personnel are available to meet customer expectations. 
• Monitor the storage and movement of raw materials; maintain accurate and updated inventory levels and cycle counts.
• Champion employee engagement programs and serve as a resource and liaison between associates and regional HR support.
• Manage and develop a team of four direct reports within the logistics department and spare parts room.

You Have:

• At least 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing or distribution center environment.
• Experience interacting with cross-functional departments to achieve both administrative and operational goals.
• Proven contribution to a safety-first culture, participation in a Safety Committee preferred.
• Experience leading and motivating others, either formally or informally.
• Experience operating a forklift preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to serve as an effective leader and representative of Plastipak.
