We seek talented, enthusiastic, and customer focused individuals to join our team as a L.E.A.D. Trainee. This is a two year rotational program with an end goal of stepping into a location management role!
What does LEAD stand for?
LEARN: Education is important for leadership development so leaders know the basics of getting the job done.
EXECUTE: There’s no substitute for doing the job, so experience is essential for leadership development.
ADAPT: Participating in challenging projects is also a great way to learn about real world experiences of leadership.
DEVELOP: Consistently set goals and gain feedback in order to improve and grow as a leader.
Goal of the program
After the approximately two-year program, you will have a well-rounded understanding of APR, the HVAC/Plumbing industry, and how to operate a successful location. Everything you learn in this program will make you ready to step into a Location Leader role as it opens. The program may be accelerated as the company tailors its program to its business needs as matched with each individual participant’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and preferences. A mentoring component, participation in our Young Leaders group and special projects, attending industry events and ongoing development, round out the program. Flexibility in location is required and needed for final assignment/positioning.
What you’ll learn
Customer Service
APR’s mission statement is Create Enthusiastic Customers. This program will teach you how APR focuses on the customer and their needs. “Think Like an Owner” is a philosophy of the company that enables you to make decisions for the betterment of APR and the customer as though this was your company.
Leadership
Through the Young Leaders group you will become a part of, you will learn leadership skills by leading projects, going through leadership training, and attending industry events focused on building the next generation of leadership.
Sales and Marketing
In this LEAD Trainee Program, you will learn how to run a successful branch. You will work closely with Location Leaders and location team members to learn different sales techniques and how to best use the tools APR’s Marketing team is putting at your disposal. You’ll build relationships with customers to help grow the sales of the branch.
