JOB DESCRIPTION:

A Laundry Attendant plays an important role in maintaining the integrity of the linens and the cleanliness of the laundry facility. Competent skills in cleaning, time management and guest relations are required to guarantee the highest level of guest services. Associate must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand on feet for 8 hours with no restrictions as well as be able to bend lift and stoop. Flexibility and reliability is a must with scheduling as associates will be required to work weekends and holidays.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be punctual and dressed in proper work attire.
• Follow procedures for assigned areas to ensure cleanliness.
• Service and clean all areas of the laundry room to prevent contamination of clean linens and to prevent any safety hazards.
• Service and clean housekeeping supply room to prevent contamination of clean linens, ensure proper storage of supplies and prevent safety hazards.
• Perform daily laundry duties: Stain treatment and removal, wash, dry, fold and store all linens including towels, sheets, blankets, duvet covers, bed skirts, shower curtains, restaurant napkins & table clothes, and other items as needed.
• Adhere to Inn policies to guarantee all assigned areas have been cleaned.
• Guest courtesy is of high importance, while working noise volume should be kept to a minimum to prevent guest disturbance.
• Assist team members, once assigned work has been completed, to finish all tasks for the day.
• Inspections will be an on going occurrence to ensure standards are being met.
• All housekeeping staff must notify a management member prior to clocking out and leaving.
• Follow procedures for key use.
• Attend all mandatory meetings and training sessions.
• Scheduled shifts may vary depending on occupancy; you will be required to stay later if work is not completed.
• Other duties as needed by housekeeping department.
