Job Description

This position offers the opportunity to support student learning and classroom activities as a paraprofessional in a K-12 educational setting. Located in Wilkes Barre, PA, this is a contract role for the full school year, providing stability and a chance to make a meaningful impact on students academic progress.

Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Experience working with children in a school or educational environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teachers and staff
• Ability to assist with instruction, classroom management, and student support
• Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude working with students with diverse learning needs
• Basic understanding of educational tools and strategies is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Support lead teachers in delivering educational content and classroom activities
• Work directly with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts
• Assist with supervising students during classroom, recess, and transition times
• Help prepare instructional materials and maintain a supportive learning environment
• Monitor student progress and report observations to teachers as needed
