Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with HR auditing and processes; make suggestions to improve department efficiency.
Update and work within HRIS for the company, demonstrating precise work and maintaining confidentiality of all sensitive information.
Update payroll records by entering changes in insurance coverage, benefits deductions, income withholding orders, job title changes, department changes, etc.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
Assist with answering questions from team members regarding payroll, standard policies and procedures, benefits, code of conduct, etc.; escalate more complex questions to the appropriate Human Resources team member.
Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
Provide clerical support to the HR department as needed.
Assist with payroll functions including creating manual checks, processing, answering employee questions, and correcting processing errors.
Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding for multiple departments.
Verify I-9 documentation and maintain current records.
Conduct or assist with new hire orientation and related data entry.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact.
Professional demeanor.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related area preferred.
23 years of office experience preferred.
If driving is required for this role, a clean driving record and a current, valid driver's license are required.
Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods.
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
