Healthcare Data Business Analyst Wanted! Full-time This position is responsible for providing customer-focused project management and analytical services to medical management. The role involves collaborating with the health plan’s leadership to develop and maintain processes and tools for measuring performance, performing basic and complex analyses to monitor healthcare quality, fiscal soundness, and return on investment. The analyst supports compliance with regulatory reporting standards and promotes organizational improvement in medical and network management. Additionally, the position involves developing and improving data collection methods and may include creating intuitive self-service applications to enhance clinical quality oversight systems. Required qualifications include: Understanding of medical management strategies and analytical approaches supporting such strategies Knowledge of measuring and monitoring medical utilization in managed care operations Experience with SQL and/or Cognos for data extraction from data warehouses Proficiency in analyzing large data volumes using PC-based software, including Microsoft Excel Knowledge of Medi-Cal or Medicaid and clinical quality measurement Experience with quality management and IT systems Professional certification in relevant technical disciplines (SQL, Cognos, etc.) Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years of experience in medical management or quality assessment of managed care programs, or equivalent experience demonstrating capability Deep understanding of medical management strategies and analytical methods Strong analytical skills with experience analyzing utilization data using software like Excel If you believe you meet these requirements, please respond to this posting with your contact information and your resume in a Word document.
