General Production Worker

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated individuals for the role of General Production Worker to join our team. We offer opportunities on both the 1st and 2nd shifts, starting at 6am or 7am for the 1st shift, and varying start times for the 2nd shift. As a General Production Worker, you will be an integral part of our operations, primarily focused on packing peaches at our Cedar facility.

Responsibilities

• Sort and pack peaches and strawberries in a food production environment.
• Operate within assigned shift hours: 1st shift from 5am to 1:30pm and 2nd shift from 7pm to 3:30am.
• Perform physical and repetitive tasks such as lifting, stacking, and sorting.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including wearing required attire such as smocks, hair nets, beard nets, bump caps, and non-slip shoes.
• Adapt to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) in the production environment.
• Work flexible schedules including day/night shifts, and weekends as needed.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.
• Proficiency in English comprehension.
• Ability to perform physical and repetitive tasks without getting motion sickness.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in general production, packing, and stacking.
• Ability to push and pull up to 400 pounds.
• Willingness to work in graveyard shifts for sanitation purposes.

Work Environment

Work in a peach and strawberry food production environment. Our facility requires adherence to safety and sanitary guidelines, including wearing smocks, hair nets, beard nets if necessary, bump caps, and non-slip shoes. The work involves exposure to extreme temperatures and requires flexibility in scheduling for day/night shifts, including weekends.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Clovis, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
