Join Our Team as a General Laborer!
Rate of Pay: $15 per hour
Job Summary:
SCA is seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a General Laborer/Non CDL Driver. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support our daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities as a General Laborer/Non CDL Driver:
You must be comfortable with completing work in oncoming traffic. You will have protection by TMA vehicles.
Duties to include driving a pickup truck, physically picking up debris (to include but not limited to litter, debris, furniture, tires, etc.), and placing in caged bed of truck.
Clean various highway locations in and surrounding metroplex assigned daily.
Required to make numerous stops and exiting truck to remove debris/trash from highway shoulders and adjacent edges of highway shoulders.
Wear proper and required PPE
Complete assigned job(s) in the time allotted and maintain quality of work
Report any equipment failures, near misses or accidents to Lead or Supervisor within 15 Minutes
Perform labor duties as required by team lead/Supervisor
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements/Skills:
Valid Driver’s License
Good Driving Record
Ability to pass employment and random drug test
Ability to follow directions, work a GPS and tablet, and be able to adjust to the work environment
Proper work attire (pants, shirt with short sleeve at a minimum), above the ankle work boots, and required PPE
High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent work experience closely related to the field of work.
Requires work performed in outdoor environments/Exposure to variable and adverse weather conditions.
Exposure to noise, vibrations, jarring, fumes grease oil & chemicals.
Active, physical work involving occasionally; lifting (50+ lbs), carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, reaching. Frequently, walking, standing, driving and operating equipment for extended periods of time.
Requires focus adjustment, depth perception, clear close & distant vision. Use of ear, eye, and other safety equipment.
Requires regular use of hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.
Requires regular use of eyes, shoulders & neck to monitor vehicle mirrors
