Offering a variety of dining options, including breakfast and lunch programs, catering, and retail operations, our client is renowned for their commitment to excellence. As the Food Service Director, you will play a vital role in maintaining our client's reputation for culinary innovation and outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead, mentor, and develop teams to maximize their contributions and foster a culture of excellence.
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards across all operations.
- Develop and implement food service plans aligned with the client's mission and vision, including sustainable practices.
- Manage budget and financial performance, including cost controls and revenue growth.
- Establish and maintain systems for ordering, receiving, storing, and serving food products, as well as menu planning and development.
- Foster effective client and customer relationships at all levels within client organizations.
- Supervise unit personnel in areas such as production, merchandising, quality control, and employee training.
- Participate in the sales process and contract negotiations.
- Identify opportunities for introducing new products and services to support sales growth and client retention.
- Ensure full compliance with operational standards, including food and labor requirements.
- Implement and sustain initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
Additional Responsibilities: - Manage the front-of-house operations in dining facilities.
- Conduct periodic inventory checks and maintain records to comply with standards and regulations.
- Recruit, hire, develop, and retain front-line teams.
Qualifications: - Minimum of 4 years of food service experience.
- 1-3 years of management experience required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication skills and ability to cultivate effective client relationships.
- Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service.
- Ability to collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive food service experience.
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Capable of standing for extended periods.
