Salary: Dependent Upon Experience

Russell Tree Experts is searching for a Field Service Mechanic who will join our team of dedicated mechanics, ready to help maintain our extensive fleet of trucks, heavy equipment, trailers, and light vehicles.

Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and repair issues and defects with fleet assets throughout our operations
• Travel to various remote sites to complete field repairs or services where relocating fleet assets to the primary shop would be counterproductive
• Communicate clearly with mechanics and other team members providing support services during repair operations
• Document various steps taken throughout the repair process to ensure consistency in future repairs and in reporting on resources and supplies used
• Demonstrate knowledge of the various mechanical systems that go into each piece of equipment in our operations various locations
• Train other staff members whose primary responsibilities consist of assisting with operations
  • Provide routine preventative maintenance on vehicles and other fleet assets to avert the need for repairs
  • Track the maintenance rotation and ensure no pieces of equipment are missed during each maintenance cycle

Job Skills & Qualifications Required:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• 3-5 years experience with heavy equipment repair in a similar position
• Drivers License Required (subject to MVR review) - Unrestricted Class A CDL privileges preferred
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Mastery of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems used in heavy equipment
• Completion of a technical certification program for heavy equipment repair
  
• Attention to detail in all operations
• Excellent communication skills
• Safety First Focus

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent bending, standing, lifting up to 75 pounds, and work under diverse weather conditions.
• Comfortable working at elevated heights and near potentially hazardous machinery.
