About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Western Heritage Museum and Hall of Fame. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the museum, including day-to-day operations, fundraising, marketing, and staff supervision. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the museum's activities, from receptions and tours to budget management and research. The Executive Director will also be tasked with identifying and applying for grants, as well as seeking out additional funding sources to support the museum's operational costs. Applicants must have a Master's degree in Museum Studies or a related field, with at least six years of experience in a museum professional capacity, including supervisory responsibilities. The role requires a commitment to the museum's mission and vision, as well as the ability to work closely with the Board of Directors and Advisory Board. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing, be adept at managing a marketing budget, and have experience in creating various forms of media advertising. Additionally, the Executive Director will be expected to maintain a positive presence in the community, uphold ethical standards, and ensure the museum's compliance with legal and best practice standards. The position is full-time and may require evening and weekend work for events.
