SAIC is searching for a Systems Administrator to join our team supporting the JEXC2 Program, based in Panama City, FL .
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to administer, design, and maintain our Microsoft Exchange environment, along with serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for our F5 load balancing infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows Server and Red Hat systems administration. The candidate will join an existing team of Tier III admins who maintain the operational state of numerous classified virtual networks. This role provides global IT support to the military and contractors, and occasional on-site support at locations both CONUS and OCONUS may be required.
Responsibilities:
Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot the Microsoft Exchange environment, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
Design and implement improvements and upgrades to the Exchange infrastructure.
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the F5 load balancing infrastructure.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot F5 load balancers to ensure optimal application delivery and security.
Administer and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems.
Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and other Windows Roles and Features.
Perform regular software patching across the VMware virtualized environment.
Answer software data calls from leadership and assist in program office data calls (capacity, licensing, annual renewals for warranties/licensing).
Create and maintain technical procedures, operational guides, and other documentation.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of system administration experience is required; a minimum 8 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
5+ years experience in the general administration and design of Microsoft Exchange environments.
5+ years experience working with F5 load balancing solutions.
Prior experience in a Tier 2 or 3 Systems Administrator or Systems Engineer role.
Strong understanding of Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory, including Group Policy and other Windows Roles and Features related to Enterprise services.
Strong background in Red Hat Enterprise Linux configuration and administration.
Ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations for 1-4 weeks, approximately 10% of the time.
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification required.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Excellent written and oral skills.
Experience working in an Agile methodology workflow is preferred.
