Director – Executive Search (Tax Focus)

As a Director, you’ll lead executive searches and build trusted relationships with candidates and clients from your first conversation through placement.

Your Role:

• Client Fulfillment Through Executive Search Leadership (placement): Take full ownership of the executive search life cycle for senior tax roles, ensuring seamless alignment between client requirements and candidate needs/goals through strategic planning for searches, conversations/collaboration with clients and candidates, and successful execution on the search.
• Relationship-Driven Marketing & Business Growth: Strengthen and expand TaxSearch’s market presence by leveraging existing relationships, nurturing industry referrals, and, most importantly, you will be recognized as an advisor, consultant, and trusted partner to our top-tiered tax clients.
• High-Touch Communication & Search Execution: Act as the central point of contact for both clients and candidates, which includes managing expectations on both sides throughout the recruiting process, leading compensation negotiations with candidates and clients, and maintaining proactive communication well beyond placement to ensure lasting satisfaction.
• Advisory Expertise That Builds World-Class Tax Teams: Deliver strategic tax market insights to individuals in tax, finance, and HR leadership and serve as a valued consultant who helps clients build high-impact tax organizations while guiding top professionals through career-defining decisions.

Ideal Background:

• Executive search experience with tax or accounting assignments at the senior executive level, preferably on a retained basis but open to contingency
• Excellent relationship-building skills and a consultative approach
• Strong negotiation, communication, and business development abilities
• A passion for shaping career trajectories and organizational success
• Ability to communicate and collaborate at the Senior Financial (mid and executive) level
• Organized and able to multi-task
