Job Description

**Position Summary** The Courier ensures customer satisfaction by performing timely and proficient pick-ups and deliveries. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and adherence to company protocols and safety standards. **Key Responsibilities** + Deliver messages, documents, packages, and other items to business establishments. + Travel to delivery sites via foot, bicycle, automobile, public transport, or customer vehicles. + Maintain accurate logs of items received and delivered. + Obtain receipts for delivered items and follow chain of custody protocols (e.g., TRAC). + Perform basic vehicle maintenance (e.g., fluid checks, refueling). + Follow maps or written instructions for pick-up and delivery routes. + Adhere to Ricoh Service Excellence performance standards. + Operate vehicles safely and lawfully, maintaining compliance with company and state regulations. + Respond to client requests and ensure timely, accurate delivery of completed orders. + Maintain professional appearance and dress according to company standards. + Communicate vehicle safety concerns and ensure routine maintenance (e.g., oil changes, tire rotations). + Meet attendance standards and work scheduled hours, including required overtime. + Perform other duties as assigned. + Work independently and make sound decisions with customer and business needs in mind. **Qualifications** **Education & Experience:** + High school diploma or equivalent required. + Valid state driver's license and a driving record that meets company standards. + Experience with electronic communication devices and working in a team environment. **Technical Skills:** + Basic computer skills including email and TRAC system usage. **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities** + Strong customer service and communication skills. + Ability to read maps, follow instructions, and complete paperwork accurately. + Professional demeanor and appearance. + Effective verbal and written communication. + Ability to work independently or as part of a team. + Capable of performing multiple tasks efficiently. + May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. + Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills. **Working Conditions & Physical Demands** + Couriers typically work independently and are not closely supervised. + Bicycle couriers are exposed to weather and traffic hazards. + Vehicle couriers may face heavy loads, parking challenges, and traffic delays. + Office work occurs in a standard environment with adequate lighting and ventilation. + Physical demands include walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs. + Moderate dexterity required for basic tools and equipment.
