Preferred Qualifications:
• A minimum of 2 years appropriate experience
• Familiarity with construction work and terminology
Requirements:
• A valid Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record
• At least 2 years of experience working in a commercial roofing estimator role
• Strong basic mathematical comprehension
• Reliable transportation capable of carrying a ladder and be able and willing to travel
• Ability to safely climb on to roofs using a ladder
• Results driven, ambitious, and a self-motivator
• Team-oriented personality, adaptable, and can also work independently
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; oral and written
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, estimating software, construction management, project scheduling software and databases
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy in estimating costs
Job Responsibilities:
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
• Utilize construction estimating software, to create detailed cost breakdowns
• Research and analyze historical data to determine material, labor, and equipment costs
• Prepare comprehensive proposals that outline project scope, timeline, and cost projections
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to construction estimating
