Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Commercial Collections Attorney to join our legal team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with various departments within our organization to manage a diverse range of litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of handling collections cases independently, providing strategic legal advice, and ensuring compliance with all legal regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage commercial collections caseload from inception through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and provide analysis of legal and factual issues.
• Develop and implement litigation strategies to achieve desired outcomes.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
• Represent the company in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess litigation risk and provide proactive legal advice.
• Stay current with legal developments impacting the company and advise on potential impacts.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state Bar and in good standing ( AZ and CA preferred)
• 4-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Civil or criminal trial experience is a plus
