Job Description

The CNC Operator is responsible for operating CNC machines in support of TSS Giddings. We need an experienced CNC operator who is able to program and set-up their machine. This position requires following standard work instructions of each required specification ensuring quality production of parts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

\n
• Operates semi-automatic or automatic numerically controlled machine tools to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations where programs are provided, and setups are often made and maintained by others.
\n
• Oversees machine operation throughout the production run to ensure part conformance.
\n
• May be required to run more than one machine simultaneously per standard work.
\n
• Cross trains in other areas as needed.
\n
• Other duties as assigned.
\n

Education and Experience

This position requires a High School Diploma or GED. Previous CNC experience is a must!
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in English; both written and verbal
\n
• Must have a high level of attention to detail.
\n
• Ability to work in a team environment
\n

\n Work Environment/Physical Demands/Equipment Used

This position is located in a manufacturing facility which requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, squatting, twisting, bending, and reaching throughout an entire shift. Must be able to move and handle varying sized products.
Health and Safety - PPE Requirements

• Safety Glasses to be worn at all times when on the production floor
\n
• Safety Shoes to be worn at all times when on the production floor
\n
• Must wear appropriate PPE for all work activities performed; varies based work
\n
