Job Description

Responsibilities:Creating and updating update process flow diagrams and P&IDs in accordance with drafting standards, preparing calculations as required for the design of process systemsReview and recommend process equipment and material selectionCoordinate test programs for feasibility studiesCommunicate and build relationships with current and potential clientsWork activities include running process simulations, preparing heat and material balances, developing PFDs and P&IDs, preparing equipment data sheets and equipment lists, and developing operating cost estimatesDrafting plans/drawings for construction for various clients in chemical and manufacturing/industrial environmentsCreate models, drawings, calculations, weight estimates, and supporting documentation in collaboration with the Project Engineer and Sr. EngineerCheck design work of layouts, including form, fit, function, materials, specification callouts, geometrics, dimensioning, and other information as directedUtilize computer-aided design in Autodesk products such as Autodesk Inventor and RevitDocument all client and regulatory specificationsWork closely with the Project Engineer to ensure that his or her design is clearly communicated on the drawingsTravel as needed to gather field dataRequirements:Bachelors degree in Chemical EngineeringMinimum of five years of progressive experienceAbility to communicate in a clear and concise fashion both written and verbalCandidate should be able to travel occasionallyAutoCAD Plant 3D, Ansys, & Scanning experience is a plusMust have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering examination and received Engineer in Training certification.
