Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig is seeking a motivated associate to join our growing team in the Richmond, VA office. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for the right candidate with 2 to 10+ years of experience to have direct contact with clients immediately while being mentored in business law on a daily basis. This is a full-time, in-office position located in the Midlothian area of Richmond, Virginia with the potential to work from home for up to 25% of the work week. Required Qualifications:

• 2 to 10 years of litigation or related experience.
• The ideal candidate should have excellent legal writing skills and be comfortable taking and defending depositions, appearing in court, arguing motions, drafting pleadings, and managing deadlines.
• Juris doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Must be admitted to the Virginia State Bar.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help businesses make decisions on a day-to-day basis.
• Improve contracts of all kinds for small, medium, and large businesses.
• Help set up businesses and advise the owners as they grow.
• Be a ready responder to support business operations of all kinds.

Strongly Preferred Attributes:

• Judicial clerkship, law review, and/or law journal experience preferred, but not required.
• Graduated with honors or graduated from a top-ranked law school preferred, but not required.
• Prior work experience at an AmLaw 200 firm.
